A nonlinear layout mapper for giant procedural datasets.
The actual configuration is known as a "Skein", whereas each piece of it is a "Skeinbit". Skeinbits can have explicit variety in the form of variable variables.
I'd like to map out Eldritch Library, Fleet and Courier's map spaces before beginning this project, as they're all three a bit different. Fleet uses an early prototype of this engine and will help inform it a lot.
Skeins are composed of a main hierarchial navigational space known as a "Skein Tree" and a secondary set of navigational spaces known as "Skein Knots". Trees form the basis of primary relationships, while knots provide secondary connections among trees and/or other knots.
TODO: Branch nonads from overworld, have tetrads for quantum/overworld (one of which is boundless), caves are their own separate issue, can also do nonad links with the knots
